Saturday & Sunday

Day 1. Coast

Gilleleje Train Station

If you drive, you can leave your car in the free car park, and if you come by public transport, Gilleleje Station is the stop, and you can leave your luggage in our car. We start our hike from Gilleleje to Hornbæk a little after 9am, around 13 km with a stop for lunch.

If you are travelling from a distance, there is an option to get access to your room the night before for a small fee

You must have a packed lunch and water bottle on the first day, and it is a good idea to have some rain gear in your rucksack.

After the hike, we take the local train from Hornbæk back to Gilleleje and drive to Nordic Park, Kirkevej 43, 3230 Græsted. Again, if you have arrived by public transport, we will drive you to the accommodation.

We prepare coffee and cake while you check into the room/apartment. Before dinner there will be time to explore the area or relax on the terrace.

At 6pm we have gin tasting from Lars Frost at CPH gin in the Bedouin tent.

Dinner will be served around 7pm in the Bedouin tent. We will have a gas heater to heat up the tent, but remember to bring some warm clothes.

Days hiking around 13 km

Day 2. Woodlands of Esrum Monastery

We provide breakfast in the morning with juice, coffee, tea and the ingredients to make your day's packed lunch.

We drive to Esrum Kloster and take a lovely 12 km walk around the monastery and through the woods alongside Esrum Lake with a good break for lunch. You can choose to end the day here as we skirt the carpark, or If you have the energy, we continue north in a small circular route for another 6 km before returning to our vehicles. If you are with public transport, we will ensure you are taken to the train station
